The facts all show that there is no definitive need for this proposed plant, that the risks and natural resource costs cannot be justified, that this location is unsuitable for anything other than major conservation efforts by the state. We are in a period of rapid transition to renewable energy sources. It is time for Rhode Island to commit to clean energy and phase out fossil fuels. Gas is no longer a bridge, it is a road block.
